Northern California Behavioral Health System selects Chad Hickerson as System Chief Executive Officer

Brent Longtin, California VP of Operations, Signature Healthcare Services, LLC has announced Chad Hickerson as the new System CEO for Signature’s Northern California Behavioral Health System (NCBHS). He will be the System CEO for two Signature hospitals; Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital, a 95-bed acute inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Santa Rosa, California and Sacramento Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, a newly built 117-bed acute inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Sacramento, California, opening January 2021.

Chad brings 25 years of successful leadership in hospitals and health systems, most recently in the field of behavioral health. For nearly 9 years he served the California State Hospital system, successfully implementing California State Senate Bill 130 (mandated reduction of seclusion and restraint) in some of the most challenging state hospital programs. For 10 years he worked with the California Correctional Health Care Services Agency in the state’s prison system, where he served as a leader in prison hospitals and the prison health system in an executive capacity. In 2017, Chad joined the Telecare Corporation where he served as Vice President of Operations, leading acute inpatient, subacute inpatient, and urgent/emergent outpatient services. In 2021, Chad will begin serving on the Board of Directors for the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California.
